Hey, Giggler!

I had originally planned to send you a fall-inspired humorous short story today, but that was back when the weather was lying to me. By the time I actually sat down to write, the temperature had flipped from Fabulous-Las-Vegas-Autumn-60-Degrees to Hot-And-SO-NOT-AUTUMN-90-Degrees. At least it’s not triple digits anymore. 🤪

Since the weather plays an abnormally large part in my writing motivation during this time of year, I ditched that plan and, instead, leaned into my newfound hobby— drawing!

Learning to draw with texture… also, I gave my Ninja Squirrel a MASSIVE tail! LOL

Some doodles. (My favorite is the medieval scroll on the bulletin board!)

Learning one-point perspective… gosh, this massive empty hallway makes me so uncomfortable! Also— that is one giant coin. HA (still figuring out SIZE)

Learning TWO-point perspective! It’s supposed to be a playground with kids. I enjoyed drawing their large eyes and slightly improving on my stick figures! Excited to practice more perspective drawing. Speaking of… I should order a ruler.

I meant for this to be a whimsical tree, but it looks more like a three-headed tree monster! The bushy branches should probably be bigger… (as I said, I’m still trying to figure out SIZE, haha), but I LOVE “shading” with texture in the tree.

I’m having so much fun drawing! My energizer bunny brain craves the relaxing downtime that drawing provides. Plus, it’s fun to come out of a drawing session having created something! (Even if it’s a creepy tree monster. LOL)
